Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Assessment Awards

The first stage of the University of South Wales Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Assessment Awards, is now open.

The ELTA Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence in learning, teaching and assessment practice across the USW Group.

Continuing the format of the 2016-17 awards, there will again be Individual awards and Team awards enabling the collaborative nature of much teaching / learning support activity to be recognised.

As in previous years, the Awards will continue to:

• celebrate excellence in teaching / supporting learning;
• be based on themes aligned with USW agenda;
• have criteria for the IELTAs which align with the NTFS, and those for the TELTAs with the HEA CATE (Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence);
• provide opportunities for nominees and winners to share their work through a range of seminars and fora in USW, and help to disseminate externally.

The awards are open to staff in Faculties, RWCMD, Partner Colleges and Corporate departments with key contacts as follows:

Faculty of Business and Society: Professor Karen Fitzgibbon
Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science: Louise Pennell
Faculty of Creative Industries: Huw Swayne
