How to Become a Fellow / Associate Fellow of the HEA (Newport City)

Event Date May 2, 2017 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Location – Newport City C16

Targeted at academic staff (eligible to apply for Fellowship), and staff who support learners but are not in full-time academic roles (eligible to apply for Associate Fellowship).

Presented by Dr Clare Kell – CELT

This CELT seminar is open (and free) to USW Group staff and colleagues at partner colleges who teach or manage a USW-accredited course only.

The USW Group is committed to achieving the highest quality of learning and teaching for its students. One external mark of the quality of the staff engaged in teaching and supporting learning is recognition by the Higher Education Academy against the UKPSF (UK Professional Standards for teaching and supported learning in the Framework).

These seminars will:
• Introduce you to the UKPSF;
• Help you decide which category of fellowship to apply for and;
• Present the details of the USW Continuing Professional Development Scheme route to Higher Education Academy Recognition, including providing copies of the application procedures and walking prospective applicants through the process.

The next deadline for the submission of applications to the USW Scheme is Monday 5th June 2017, so attending one of these seminars will enable prospective applicants to prepare submissions in good time.

Targeted at academic staff (eligible to apply for Fellowship), and staff who support learners but are not in full-time academic roles (eligible to apply for Associate Fellowship).

The claim making process is very similar so these seminars are open to both Fellow and Associate Fellow applicants.
