How does challenge-based learning shape the educational landscape for both educators and learners at USW?

USW’s Learning and Teaching Conference 2024 at the Atrium campus, Cardiff, builds on the success of last year, centring on Challenge-Based Learning to explore transformative educational practices. This in-person event aims to integrate theory and practice, providing a platform for colleagues to explore how authentic, unsolved problems are embedded into curriculum and assessment practice.

Aligned to our Curriculum Design Principles, this year's conference follows a format of thought-provoking provocations followed by colleagues sharing practical experiences and activities. The opening and closing sessions, led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, will emphasise the conference's pivotal role in supporting USW’s strategic educational goals.

Attendees can anticipate intellectually stimulating sessions, networking with partners, and a celebration of our excellent education practice. Look out for a forthcoming call for contributions which will seek insights from colleagues advancing challenge-based learning.
