A number of staff in CES are
currently trying out mirroring technology in their teaching using a Surface Pro
and a wireless adaptor dongle. This allows them to share/project their computer
screen without being connected to the podium, and annotate any presentations live.
It offers some real flexibility with teaching practices and allows diagrams and
annotations to be easily recorded.
Feedback so far has been very
positive and several staff will now be working with ITS to trial a university
wide solution to wireless mirroring that doesn’t require the addition of
